个人简介：

王彦林，男，1979年8月生，助理研究员。2000年~2004年在中国地质大学（武汉）本科学习；2004年~2009年, 中国科学院南海海洋研究所硕博连读，获得海洋地质专业博士学位。2009年7月起就职于中国科学院南海海洋研究所 “地震勘探与应用”学科组。

近年来，主持国家自然科学基金青年项目、面上项目、国家自然科学基金重点项目子课题等多项科研任务。已在Tectonophysic、Marine and Petroleum Geology等期刊发表论文多篇。近期主要研究成果是发现了南海最大的羽状流、发现了一类新型海山─洋中脊裂谷型蛇纹石泥火山。全球现已发现的蛇纹石泥火山都位于俯冲增生带，新发现的蛇纹石泥火山位于慢速扩张中脊裂谷内，代表了一种新的海山形成动力机制。

2. 国家自然科学基金委员会面上项目，南沙腹地海底大型气体喷发及其油气指示意义，58万元，2021.1-2024.12，参与.

3. 国家自然科学基金委员会面上项目，南海西南次海盆疑似蛇纹石泥火山研究-以龙门海山为例，62万元，2019.1-2022.12，主持.

4. 国家自然科学基金青年科学基金项目，南沙北部郑和群礁海域洋陆边界下构造层形成时代的研究，24万元，2013.01-2015.12，主持.
